52 New Experiences in 2020

2020, the year that changed the way we live, travel and love! I’m not one to dwell on things that couldn’t happen due to the COVID 19 outbreak. To the contrary: I’m the one who kept on living to her best possibilities and opportunities available.

Once again, it’s wasn’t the big stuff that made (daily) life worth living. As always, it was the small, conscious decision to say YES to something I/we haven’t been before, created, ate, drank, watched, read, done before.

Here’s to a new list of small, but delicious, exciting new experiences that made 2020 even more memorable:

-A private Rob Burns Event / Took the new Rapid Bus to Coquitlam / Gave impromptu speech during a Celebration of Life / (Nearly) fall for a telephone credit card scam / Snowed in for a week / 1x at The Legion & hosted a Trivia Fundraiser (yeah) / Visited a Floatation Tank (never again!) / New Hair Cut from Wilde Cuts (cool name!) / Saw “Whose Line is it Anyway”, live at River Rock Casino / Was a Tourism Ambassador during a groundbreaking ceremony / Kayaked on Stave Lake / 24 hour trip to Edmonton / Cycled along Poco Trail (great!) / Became a prolific hair stylist for our boys (!!!!) / Cycled along Minnekhada Trail / Hiked along Hoover Trail in Mission / Bowen Island / visited Campbell River on Vancouver island / Cycled along Matsqui Trail / distributed goodies inside homeless shelter / Faced a bear, head on (OMG!) / three in one go massage at Chateau Ridge / Hot Stone Massage / Deleted FB Biz account (Yeah!) / Cycled along Colony Farm (Coquitlam) / Walked along Pitt Lake Trail / Received personal fitness training from middle son / Cycled along Derby Reach Trail (Langley) / Kayaked to first narrows on Alouette Lake / Kayaked in Deep Cove / Kayaked Hayward Lake / Walked along Seawall in West Vancouver / picked an never ending supply of blueberries / Cycled along Glen Valley / Bought Dry Shine & cleaned glass doors / Visited Quadra Island / Hiked Elk Park Trail (Campbell River ) / Personal Photoshoot with Pam at Whonnock Lake & Osprey Village / Started learning French with Mango, online / visited Coombs (Vancouver Island) / Whole family completed the whole Wild Play course (Yeah!) / Visited Retina Eye Surgeons / had twice a bear in backyard / started new skin care routine / Hiked to Mike Lake / Hiked along Spirea Trail (Golden Ears) / Homemade lip balm / Attended Artisan X-mas Market via Zoom (not my thing) /

Despite everything, it has been quite an eventful year. Wishing you the courage to say YES more often- especially to things in your life you’ve never experienced before! Give it a shot, you’ll like it!
